The Giant I was designed in Holland and intended to operate in the Soviet Union. In the late 90's, after 26 years of operation, it was purchased by the Swiss shipowner René Herzog, a passionate lover of long-distance sea travel. He decided to turn her into a true pleasure boat, capable of sailing the world's seas and oceans. The Giant I retained the appearance of an expedition vessel, but her interior has been completely redesigned. She can now carry about 30 passengers. Today the yacht has been taken over by a young Russian businessman from Siberia and is rumored to be doing charter cruises in Greece.
Previously this boat was called: Dimant; Gigant; Giant
