Built in 2003, Sheherezada is one of the most unusual megayachts on the charter market today. What is unusual is the construction of her hull, which is actually built from wood: it uses a complex combination of cedar, Douglas fir, balsa, foam and carbon fiber impregnated with epoxy resin. This arrangement, developed by West Systems, makes it possible to create a very durable and rigid hull. Another original feature of the boat is the glass superstructure around the upper saloon which gives a 180 degree view. The boat's very sophisticated interior, designed by Andrew Winch, is made of walnut and sycamore. Over 350 seashells are embedded into the wood of the furniture, creating an unusual effect. The boat is owned by a certain Stewart couple who live permanently in the Caribbean - not much is known about them other than that they made their fortune in pharmaceuticals. In 2011-21, the yacht underwent a major $1.3 million renovation, during which it underwent a major renovation. In the course of which she had all the standing and running rigging replaced and the interior renovated
