Oleg Burlakov's Black Pearl is considered by many to be one of the most innovative sailing yachts in the world. What she certainly has no equal among wind-powered boats is in terms of length: although the 142.8-meter sailing megayacht «A»is larger, she is officially classified as a motor sailer.

Interior and exterior design
The appearance of the yacht noticeably resembles the 88-metre Maltese Falcon by Perini Navi, which can be explained very simply by the fact that both of them were created by the same designers. Not surprisingly, there is also something in common with the sailing ship of the same name from the famous film «Pirates of the Caribbean».

The project is unique in its use of alternative energy sources. The main pride of the sailboat is the 70-meter carbon fiber DynaRig rotating masts.
