Adix (original name Jessica) is one of the few superyachts built in Spain. For her time (mid-1980s) she was one of the largest yachts in the world, even more so for sailing yachts: they almost never built three-mast boats then. In the late '80s, the boat changed ownership to the famous brewer Alan Bond, and began to be used as a promotional vessel, changing her name to XXX. Later she was taken over by her Spanish owner and had a major refit of her hull cut in half and a center insert welded into her hull. The hull was then substantially elongated and her transom, stern shape and underwater section were changed. At the same time she has changed her sails and rigging - originally she was a three-masted barquentine, but during the remodeling she was turned into a schooner. An interesting design of her traditional-looking masts is the carbon pipes inside the wooden planking, which are the power element of the spars.
