MITSeaAH became one of the most discussed yachts in the world long before it was launched. It should be, because for the first time the customer of the 50-meter sailing yacht demanded from the builders and designers to make him a real motorsailer - a yacht having equal sailing qualities both under sails and under the engine. Moreover, the customer explicitly demanded that the new boat should be no worse under the engine than his existing 45-meter motor yacht (that is, no slower than 25 knots). As a result, the designers suggested the following set of technical solutions for the yacht: transitional mode contours, telescopic folding rudders (to reduce resistance at speed), oscillating (tilting) ballast keel, telescopic mast in the upper part and folding transom plates. All of this combined makes her capable of speeds in excess of 20 knots under the engine. However, evil tongues say that under sail the boat does not go as well as expected, so even with the sails in place she still uses engines. The big flop is the coarse interiors, which look like they were made in the decorative workshops of an out-of-town movie studio. However, according to reliable information, these interiors were made by the son of the owner himself, so the owner probably didn't complain too much about his self-expressed offspring.
