The Predator is perhaps one of the most original boats launched in the last five years. She is uniquely shaped and strikingly engineered. In fact Feadship and De Voogt have outdone themselves in this project. She has four 5,793 bhp MTU engines in the bilge, coupled to a turntable and paddles. With its extra power and reverse bow, the Predator is capable of speeds up to 28 knots even in bad weather. In addition to the master stateroom, the yacht has only two guest cabins. The interior has been designed by Dicky Bannenberg. The yacht belongs to the Russian businessman Iskander Makhmudov, who occupies the 11th place in the Forbes ranking of the richest businessmen in Russia. His fortune is estimated at $8.5 billion. Makhmudov's companies specialize in coal mining, as well as the production of rails and locomotives.
