About

Company history

The Marlow Pilot brand boasts a rich history. Its roots go back to the 1830s, when Henry Luhrs, the ancestor of Mainship's founder, immigrated to the United States, creating a small shipbuilding company.

Over the next 150 years, the company grew steadily and in 1977 it was transformed into Mainship, a motorboat construction corporation. The trawlers first appeared in the yard's range in the 70's due to the raging fuel crisis, but later the plant refused to build them for several years.

Real success awaited the company in 1994, when the company resumed production of economical trawlers, defining the main direction for the next decades. In 2012 Mainship was bought out by Marlow Yachts founder David Marlow.

Using Mainship's design ideas and Marlow's advanced technology, the yard has produced new trawler models that have been well received by seafarers. In 2016, after rebranding, the shipyard received a new name - Marlow Pilot.

Status

The company continues its work and is still building comfortable, economical boats.

Production .

Marlow Pilot yachts are assembled at the Alachua Shipyard in Florida. The shipyard is located on an area of over 150,000 square meters with production workshops, assembly hangars, warehouses and much more.

Model range

The Marlow Pilot range includes semi-displacement boats from 31 to 37 feet long for long cruises. Indoor hardtop cruising yachts are suitable for all-weather cruising enthusiasts.

The shipyard can offer models with hardtop and semi-closed saloon for those who want to spend warm days in the company of friends. On such boats the cockpit smoothly passes into the inner space and allows the owner to operate the boat without breaking away from communication with friends.

Features .

Marlow Pilot housings stand out for their increased strength. Composite materials manufactured using the Nida-Core technology are used in the construction. Their strength and elasticity exceed the parameters of traditional for private shipbuilding fiberglass plastic. At the same time the boats are lightweight, which makes it possible to install economical engines.
