History of the company
Bilgin Yachts is one of the oldest shipbuilders in Turkey. The company has a long history and rich traditions. It comes from the vicinity of Uskudar, where master Hüseyin built his first boats in the 1900s. After Hüseyin's death in the war, business passed to his son Mustafa Sengün, who in turn passed on the business to his children.
The company has always monitored market trends, in the 70's the manufacturer focused on boats in the segment of 10-20 meters, and by the 90's model range was expanded to include larger vessels. Despite its respectable age, Bilgin Yachts entered the international arena only in 2002 and immediately gained popularity.
Status .
The shipyard continues to operate and today, the fifth generation of the Songun family is in charge of the company.
Production
Bilgin Yachts operates 4 shipyards with an area of over 40,000 square meters in the Istanbul area, headquartered in Küçükçekmeceje. In addition, the company owns a 5000 sqm furniture factory and a 2500 sqm foundry. The total number of employees exceeds 350 people.
Fleet
The superyacht portfolio produced by the shipyard is impressively diverse. There are hardcore retro steamers with modern stuffing, SUV-explorers, high-speed models and ocean class ships. The company has been working with British H2 Design for quite some time, which has recently developed almost every model of the yard.
Features
The shipyard remains a family business as it was more than a hundred years ago. Bilgin in Turkish means know-how. Here, traditions are carefully preserved and the secrets of craftsmanship are passed on from generation to generation. At the same time, the shipbuilding industry is not standing still, more modern and environmentally friendly technologies are constantly being introduced into production.
