Company history

The world famous Tecnomar shipyard was founded near Viareggio by two Italian families Zappelli and Sarti. The beginning was in 1986, when the partners bought the Bruno Benetti shipyard and the following year they presented the Tecnomar.

At first, the company used the inherited design of Bruno Benetti, but by the early 90's with the presentation of the new series TB was developed its own unique style. This was helped by the yard's design office and collaboration with renowned studios.

In 2009 Tecnomar was sold to Giovanni Costantino, who optimized production and renewed the management team. Two years later, another famous Italian brand, Admiral, was bought. This was the basis for one of the largest shipbuilding concerns - The Italian Sea Group.

Status

The shipyard continues its work.

Production

With the increasing demand for Tecnomar boats and the size of the vessels produced, the shipyard moved production from Viareggio to Carrara. On an area of 100,000 square meters, 11 workshops, a 200 meter dry dock (the largest in the entire Mediterranean) and a berth of more than 1,500 meters. The company also has at its disposal a floating barge with carrying capacity up to 2200 tons.

Model range

The company offers luxury designer superyachts designed for individual projects from 16.5 to 42 meters in length. Even small boats of EVO series assume wide customization. In recent years, the shipyard has been continuously increasing the average length of the models in its two ranges of Nadara and Velvet.
