The first model of the Slovenian yard Seascape 18 was launched in 2008. When the company joined the Beneteau group in 2018, Seascape 18 entered the First range. In 2010 the model was recognized as Yacht of the Year in Europe, and in 2016 it received the same title from Sailing World magazine in the USA.
Exterior and interior design
Designed by Samuel Manuard, the 5.5m boat follows the contours of the Ocean Open 60 and VO 70," said the founders of Seascape, Andraz Mihelin and Kristian Hajnsek, who participated in the Mini-Transat. The hull with a powerful bow and wide cheekbone stern is armed with a carbon mast mounted on the deckhouse without an ahterstag and paintwork. The balance provides a centreboard and two rudder blades. The First 18 is armed with three sails with retractable bowsprit. The boat can be sailed on its own or in pairs.
Amenities on board
For smaller sizes, the First 18 has a deckhouse with a V-shaped sunbed, where you can relax in the parking lot or on the beach (lifting the centreboard allows the boat to dry out).
