Beneteau Barracuda 9 combines excellent seaworthiness, versatility and comfort for passengers. The yacht is small in size, but she can take a company of 4-5 people on board during daytime sailing. If the boat is sailing together, it is also possible to travel overnight - for this purpose there is a double cabin with an isolated bathroom in the forward part of the boat.
All-weather Barracuda 9 allows to use it at different sea state, and in northern regions it is noticeable to extend the season. The wheelhouse can be fully reclaimed, so that swimming is comfortable even in rain.
Beneteau's patented Air Step system reduces hull resistance and provides greater stability on the boat's planing. The yacht's sediment (61 cm) allows her to enter almost any water area. Barracuda 9 is equipped with two outboard motors, there are several pairs with different power at the customer's choice. With two 225-horsepower engines the boat can reach 40-45 knots, but at such a speed the 400-liter tank will suffice only for 2.5 hours, and the range of Barracuda 9 will not exceed 100-110 miles. At 22-23 knots the boat consumes considerably less and its autonomy is increased to 188 miles.
Barracuda 9 is built in two versions - with hardtop or flybridge. The latter is very small, but the main thing is that there is a control post that can be used by two people. The yacht is suitable for both water recreation and fishing. However, the absence of at least a minimum galley reduces her opportunities for autonomous sailing. Prices of Barracuda 9 in a basic and«comfortable» complete set can differ on 30-40% - very many necessary things on a yacht (such as, for example, a generator, an anchor winch, a heater/air conditioner, a water heater, a fridge) are options.
