A few years ago Fluid Motion decided that the fashion for compact tugboats Ranger Tug was long gone and it was time to offer modern boats. As a result, elegant boats in the Downeast style were built on the West Coast of the USA.
The Cutwater 26, an eight-meter two-cabin cruiser weighing just over 2.5 tons, has not yet grown out of the trailer boat category, but is already well suited for a full family holiday. The hull, with an almost vertical stem, transverse redan and falsetto, behind which the propeller shaft comes out, is designed for economical movement in displacement and transient mode. The only Yanmar engine with an output of 260 hp accelerates the boat to 20 knots.
