Bilgin Yachts has announced the start of construction of the 80m megayacht Bilgin 263.

Upon completion, Bilgin 263 will become the largest superyacht ever built in Turkey.

Construction on the yacht began in March. Since then, 7 out of 25 blocks of her steel hull have been completed. The yacht is expected to be delivered to the owner in 2019.

The owner of Bilgin 263 signed a contract with Bilgin Yachts in October. He is a loyal customer of the Turkish shipyard: the 80m will be Bilgin Yachts' third vessel in his garage.

The exterior of the Bilgin 263 and her naval architecture have been designed by the Turkish Unique Yacht Design studio. Özgün Yacht Design is responsible for the engineering and H2 Yacht Designis responsible for the interiors.

The yacht also has plenty of outdoor seating areas. For example, there is a large open-air lounge with dining area in the bow and a Jacuzzi on the upper deck, in front of the wheelhouse, with a lovely view of the surroundings.

The Bilgin 263 will fully comply with the LY3 (Large Commercial Yacht Code). Powered by twin MTU16V 4000 M63R engines, she will be able to reach speeds of up to 18 knots.
