Yachtsman Michael Duffy told the press about an unusual incident in his life. The 48-year-old man woke up on his yacht on Sunday, May 10, to the sound of snoring and wheezing. At first he could not identify the animal, but on checking the cabin he noticed a sea lion sleeping peacefully in the next berth.

Trying not to frighten the young animal, the sailor went to get his camera, but when the photo was taken the seal jumped down and quickly left the boat.

The boat was moored at the San Diego Yacht Club harbor, which was literally flooded with pinnipeds. Earlier, another seal in the same city threw a fisherman overboard, and the Monterey Yacht Club had to temporarily suspend operations due to a rookery that had spontaneously appeared on its territory.
