The British shipyard Princess Yachts the new flagship of its sports-bridge series, the 24.66m Princess S78, has been announced. She will be available for viewing in person at the Boot Dusseldorf show in January.

In developing this project Princess has embarked on an exciting new partnership with one of the UK's oldest companies, NAIM Audio, so that she can enjoy quality sound from this legendary firm in almost every corner of the yacht.

The new model, like its smaller sisters S72, S65 and S60, has an open-air control station which blends harmoniously into her sporty, streamlined profile.

The large skylight and panoramic windows give the cabin a feeling of space and lightness. The sunbathing area aft is large enough to sit on and if guests find it too small, it can be coupled to the adjacent sofas in the lounge area.

The cockpit seating is also easily transformable and can be rearranged to form an area for a mini-party or sunbathing session. On the sport-bridge you can grill a barbecue and enjoy a boat trip on the 6-seater corner sofa.

The S78 can accommodate up to 8 passengers in 4 cabins on the lower deck, including a mid-engine master suite that spans the entire 5.76-metre beam. In the transom, adjoining the 4.45 metre long tender garage, there are sleeping berths for two crew members.

A pair of 1900 hp MAN V12 engines promises an exhilarating top speed of 39 knots.

A hydraulic swim platform and automatic launching system makes the vessel ideal for active water sports.

Another project the yard is currently working on is the 40m Mirage IV, which is already the seventh hull of the Princess 40M.
