Yacht Harbour has calculated the total value of the yachts visiting the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend. The port of Hercule alone docked yachts worth a total of 1.1bn, according to superyacht analytics service Timeline.
Among those who have managed to find a berth in Hercule Port are the £19.5m 47m Blush , owned by Formula 1 team owner EddieJordan, the 50m Mariu of the Codecasa shipyard, built in 2003 for Giorgio Armani and sold by him for €19.95 million in 2010, and another 50-metre Codecasa - Lady Ann Magee of Irish businessman Michael Smurfit.
Some of these yachts are simply too big for the marina, which has only a few berths for yachts over 80 meters. Those berths are now occupied by Alisher Usmanov's 110m Ona (ex Dilbar) and the 76m Boadicea, once owned by Bernard Tapie, both for sale.
Some yachts have arrived to promote themselves to the rich and famous flocking to Monaco for the duration of the race, either as a charter or for sale. You could, for example, book a private tour ofGraeme Hart's 107m Ulysses or Lawrence Stroll's 96m Feadship Faith (ex Vertigo).
The total value of yachts anchored near Monaco exceeds a billion euros, with the 119-metre motor «» by Andrei Melnichenko and the 82-metre Alfa Nero accounting for a significant share.
