Claydon Reeves Design Studio has unveiled a 19.8m Aeroboat S6 concept in collaboration with Rolls-Royce. The carbon-fibre and aluminium cruiser is the evolution of the Aeroboat SV12 , a 14m supercharged motoryacht with a Rolls-Royce 12-cylinder engine. The Aeroboat S6 has a slightly weaker propulsion system - «only» MTU V10 2000 M96 - but combined with water jets it promises impressive speeds: top speed of 45 knots, range of 400 miles at 40 knots.

A signature feature of the Aeroboat is the presence of a sliding swim platform, which can be raised to gangway level during boarding, or lowered for easier access to the water.

The S6 will be available in hardtop, bimini or open cockpit versions.

On both sides of the aisle leading aft there are sunbeds, the cockpit - which can be enclosed by a hardtop, bimini or be completely open depending on the owner's preference - has an al-fresco snack area.

On the lower deck there is a cabin with large windows without a berth, which can be converted into a master suite, especially as the yacht has everything necessary for a longer stay: toilet, shower, galley. Across the hall is another cabin and a garage for a tender that can hold a 3.8m tender or a pair of jet skis.

The hull and water jets of the Aeroboat S6 will carry the Rolls-Royce logo.

Claydon Reeves and Rolls Royce are also working on larger models with respectively more powerful V12 and V16 engines with gas turbines.
