The history of the company

The Swedish shipyard X Shore is widely known in the small ship market and has its history since 1996. The company, led by Konrad Bergström, started with the construction of RIBs. Two decades later, when boats began to be sold worldwide, the shipbuilder changed direction towards electric motor boats.

«We all come from the sea. I've always had respect for water, because it's 80% of my body. Without water, there would be no life," says Conrad. - I've spent my whole life learning from the sea. I've experienced everything it has to offer, thinking of what it can give or take. I took that passion for the ocean and embodied it in X Shore.»

Continuous research in the shipbuilding industry and the desire to contribute to the preservation of the environment led Conrad to re-prioritize and shift to environmentally friendly engines.

Production .

The company has a small production facility. So far, the capacity of the company allows to build up to 12-15 boats per year. The team works closely with Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg, and also uses Rolls Royce technology and Torqueedo engines.

The lineup

The yard's range includes all-electric boats from 6.5 to 8 meters in length made of lightweight composite materials. The manufacturer positions them as tenders for superyachts, but they can be used as «standalone» boats. The models are offered with a closed saloon, caddy cabin. and with the center console.

Features

The shipyard was one of the first manufacturers to completely switch from fossil fuel boats to environmentally friendly electric boats. The company's management is fully confident in its success.

«X Shore boats are at the forefront of technology, design and sustainability: once you experience the sea without noise and smoke, there's no going back. It's magical. That's why we're so determined to contribute to change in the marine industry»," says Conrad.

It is also worth noting that the boats of the manufacturer are almost equal to gasoline and diesel brothers. They are capable of speeds up to impressive 40 knots, and in economy mode to overcome up to 100 nautical miles on one battery.
