Twizzle was ordered by a very experienced and demanding couple who had previously owned several yachts from Feadship and Perini Navi. The main requirement was «- easy to wish but difficult to do» - it was formulated as follows: «to make a fast sailing yacht with the same comfort and habitability as a motor yacht». This challenge was handled by the skilled Ed Dubois, with Redman Whiteley Dixon in charge of the exterior and interior design. She was the first Royal Huisman to be built with a flybridge. To achieve high speeds, Dubois gave the boat a small wetted surface and a very large sail area. Twizzle's sharp sailing characteristics are further enhanced by a daggerboard that extends from the fin on the bulwark. Her masts are so high that she can pass under the Panama Canal bridges only in low water. To date, there is no information about Twizzle being chartered. It looks like the owners, who took her out on a long voyage immediately upon taking her over, have been overly pleased with her and are spending most of their time on her.
