Candela currently produces 4 models, with an average length around 8.57 meters.
Having assembled a team of like-minded people in 2015, Gustav Hasselskog enlisted the support of eminent specialists in the industry and created the company Candela Speed Boat. He set an ambitious goal for the new company - to build a boat with an electric engine that would be as good as boats with traditional fossil fuel engines.
At the end of 2016 the shipyard created a working prototype and in early 2019 mass production was launched.
It's working.
Candela has done a tremendous job. The prototypes were assembled almost on a pro bono basis in the barn, and just three years later the team launched a full-fledged plant. The shipyard opened in the small Swedish town of Lidingö, where the company's headquarters are also located.
The model range of the manufacturer includes bowriders and outboard motor boats. All boats are issued exclusively on electric engines.
The shipyard was the first in the world to establish mass production of electric motor boats on foyles. To date, Candela has brought its boats as close as possible to diesel and gasoline boats. One battery charge is enough to cover a distance of 50 nautical miles at 19-23 knots.
