About
History of the company
The Dutch family-owned shipyard Hakvoort is located in the picturesque town of Monnickendam next door to Amsterdam and has a history dating back to 1919. Then founder Albert Klzn Hakvoort bought the shipbuilding company, which at that time was about 140 years old.
The shipyard began with the production of fishing boats and eventually moved on to the construction of large customised boats. Application of modern materials, unique Dutch style and high quality have allowed the shipyard to take a confident position in the market.
Lady Marina, which was launched in 1994, also helped to make the shipyard popular. Since then, 11 more Hakvoort superyachts have been finalists in prestigious international competitions and 7 of them have won the highest awards in their class.
Production
The shipyard's production facilities include metal working shops, two hangars for ship assembly and two dry docks employing 90 people. After modernization of the boathouses in 2009, the shipyard's capacity allows implementing projects up to 65 m long.
In addition to building new boats, Hakvoort is active in the Refit market and its subsidiary Unlimited Interiors not only handles domestic orders but also acts as a subcontractor for the interior design of other shipyards.
Fleet
The company specializes in the production of steel and aluminum superyachts from 30 to 61 meters in length. In the portfolio of built models there are boats for long journeys and high-speed vessels.
In 2012, Hakvoort, together with the brokerage company Moran Yacht & Ship, developed a semi-custom platform for a 55-metre fast displacement hull
The largest of the boats built at the shipyard is the 61-meter
