Palmer Johnson Axia Overview
Axia is a yacht that combines some of the most famous names in yacht building: her design was the responsibility of the Bureau of Sparkmans and Stephens, and the interior design was done by John Manford. As a consequence, the boat has acquired classic features not only on the outside, but also on the inside: her interiors are a subtle hybrid of timeless classics and curly Art Deco. The main interior materials are teak and polished copper - and it is impossible to tell the year of her design and construction from her interiors. She could very well belong to the beginning of the XXI century as well as to the first half of the XX century. The natural Italian marble in the bathrooms is a logical complement to the exquisite interior design: John Manford likes to express himself very much in the bathrooms, making them a highlight in the overall "pie" of the yacht interior.
