The yacht Savarona was built in Germany for an American armature. She was then repurchased by the Turkish government. Immediately after World War II she was used as a training vessel for the training of long-distance sailors. She has now been leased on a long term lease to Turkish industrialist Kahraman Sadıköğlu, who uses her for charter operations. The yacht has 17 spacious and tastefully decorated staterooms by Donald Starkey Design. An operations room is available on board. Powered by twin 3,600 horsepower diesel engines, Savarona makes a commanding run at 18 knots.
