This is the largest yacht ever built at an Italian CRN shipyard. She is 91st in the prestigious Top 100 rating.
The yacht was built by order of an English businessman. Sir Donald Gosling.but for unknown reasons, he decided to sell it until construction was complete. A buyer was quickly found on the boat: it was a Mexican... Ricardo Salinas Pliegoranked 63rd on the world's richest people. This media magnate, who also owns a number of investment companies, has christened the Azteca ship after one of his enterprises.

This displacement yacht was designed to have a maximum speed of 16 knots. To accomplish this task, Azteca was equipped with two Caterpillar 3516B diesel engines, each rated at 2575 hp. As a result, when the engines are running in maximum mode (1600 rpm) the yacht will reach 16.5 knots! And at 12 knots the yacht is able to cover 6000 miles without refueling, for example, to reach the Caribbean islands.
The crew consists of 28 people. The yacht has a cockpit for them, part of which is set aside for the living room and equipped with a corner sofa for 8 people. The second half is reserved for the dining room with three dining tables and the kitchen. There are 14 double cabins with three degrees of comfort for crew members. On the same lower deck, in the center there are two guest cabins with double beds, bathrooms and dressing rooms. They are accessed by a separate staircase.
