Princess Yachts has announced the new S78, which will «take over the baton as the flagship of the Princess S class range of sports bridge yachts.
The 24.66-meter S78 is powered by MAN 1,900 hp engines that accelerate its vacuum-infusion hull to 39 knots. Its main feature is a large convertible cockpit, the seats of which are rotated and unfolded to form a lounge or snack area al-fresco. Aft there are two generously sized sun loungers, while the transom hides a garage for a 4.45-meter tender. Fordec is the best place to watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand, and on the flybridge you can have a barbecue.
In spring 2018 the popular V class range of the British shipyard will be supplemented by the V60 model. The half-loaded 19.17m yacht will be able to reach 38 knots thanks to two MAN V8s of 1200 «horses». Like the new Princess V65, the V60 has a socially oriented layout with a large cockpit that includes a wind bar with barbecue and fridge. Sliding glass doors lead to the open-plan salon, which is equipped with a large electric skylight. On the lower deck there are three cabins with an optional fourth for guests or crew.
Fairline Targa 43 Open
Another British shipyard has something to please its customers next spring. Targa 43 Open is a product of cooperation between Fairline and the famous Italian designer Alberto Manchini. The first 10 hulls of this model were sold on the very first day of the boat show in London. The younger sister of the previously introduced Targa 63 GTO, the 13.9m Targa 43 GTO inherited a light, stylish and practical appearance. This sporty cruiser with two cabins and two separate bathrooms will be available with two Volvo Penta IPS 500 or IPS 600 and at maximum load will develop 34 knots. Two lower deck layouts are available, with a master cabin in the bow or on the midships. A tender garage for Williams Minijet is hiding under the sunpad at the stern. The centre of the cockpit is a generously sized dinette and windbar. Further to the bow is a hardtop protected control station with two seats to starboard and an L-shaped sofa to starboard. «Targa 43 was a phenomenally popular boat in the late 1990s and we are confident that this 21st century model will be a worthy successor»," says Fairline Yachts head of design Andrew Pope.
Sunseeker Predator 50
The smallest Predator in history will be shown on Boot Düsseldorf in January 2018. The design includes a tender garage as well as a fully opening hardtop and lowering windows that can turn the Predator 50 into an open boat with an elegant cockpit and salon. The seats at the front and rear of the cockpit can be folded out to form sun loungers. The boat can accommodate up to 4 guests as standard, but as an option the lower deck saloon can be converted into another cabin with a bunk bed and bring the number of guests to 6. As always, Sunseeker has taken care of details with a responsible approach to finishing the interior spaces. The Predator 50 will be equipped with the new Volvo Penta D8-600 paired with propeller shafts with optional electric steering and joystick.
Sunseeker Predator 74
In addition to the smallest yacht in the Predator range, the Sunseeker will delight us with the largest one at the same time. The Predator 74 will also be available live at the Düsseldorf Boat Show. This high-speed yacht with a «maximum of» 40 knots is available in both three- and four-cabin versions. She incorporates all the latest Sunseeker styling and boasts an elegant profile with continuous interior glazing. A special «feature of» this yacht is the door between the cockpit and the saloon, which can be opened in the traditional way, or can be completely lowered to the floor at the touch of a button, transforming the cruiser into an open yacht. With the MAN V12 1900 top engine, the boat can be accelerated up to 40 knots.
Hong Kong's Kraken Yachts calls its 50-foot brainchild a «real ocean cruiser». The release of Kraken 50 is scheduled for January 2018. The shipyard has invited famous New Zealand designer Kevin Dibley to work on the yacht. The boat has a rich basic set with a lot of teddy-cats, traditionally found on ocean cruisers. She has a duplicate foresail rigging and electric winches in the base, allowing the yacht to be operated from the cockpit by a small crew.
The new 90-foot model from the masters of Italian shipbuilding complements and reinforces the aesthetics of its extremely successful relatives, the Riva Corsaro 100' and the Riva 110' Dolcevita. It has a smooth, streamlined and dynamic profile with a large glazing area. The huge master suite is located on the main deck, while the control station is moved to a separate level (raised wheelhouse). On the lower deck there are up to five cabins. The aft Riva 90 inherits a unique concealed stairway system from the Riva 56 Rivale, while a spacious tender garage allows for simultaneous storage of the Williams 395 and jet-ski. The boat is equipped with two MTU engines up to 2400 hp. With top engines, the yacht accelerates to 30 knots.
The world premiere of the Bavaria C45 will take place at the Düsseldorf Boat Show. The 13.98-metre sailing yacht has a «superyacht character»: on board you will find many of the chips usually offered on smaller yachts, including a barbecue and windburst in the cockpit, space for a dinghy in the stern and - in addition to the standard three- and four-cabin layout - a five-cabin version. Nowhere on deck or in the superstructure you will meet the steps: everything is on the same level as superyachts.
