The year 2019 is a jubilee year for Boot Dusseldorf: the largest yachting exhibition is half a century old! Almost 2000 exhibitors will place their products in 16 halls of the Dusseldorf exhibition centre.

The first Boot Dusseldorf exhibition - or just Boot - opened on 27 November 1969. Then 116 exhibitors from eight countries spread over an area of 11,000 square meters and attracted 34,000 visitors. In 1972, the exhibition moved to the Messe Dusseldorf exhibition centre, which had just been rebuilt for the Munich Olympics, and is still there today.
