The Cannes Yachting Festival is a highly-anticipated event in the yachting world. That is to say, the prime moment to see and test the latest offerings from the biggest and most innovative names in the industry. With 135 world debuts and over 600 exhibitors, this year's festival indeed did not disappoint. There were 18 very exciting debuts and plenty of outstanding yachts from established brands.

Debuts from A to B

  1. Italian builder Absolute showcased the Absolute 56 Fly. This model features open railings, cutaway gunwales, and transparent panels in the transom gates to maximize visibility.
  2. The Azimut Grande 36, designed by Alberto Mancini, is the younger sister of the Azimut Trideck. The yacht features full-height windows, a walk-around upper deck, and a sky lounge with oversized slide-away glass doors that contribute to the indoor-outdoor connection and informal ambience. An all-glass hot tub on the sundeck adds style, and the 118-footer’s large beach club offers a feeling of complete immersion in nature.
  3. The Azimut 30 Metri Magellano is the latest flagship in Azimut’s popular explorer-style Magellano series, designed for clients who plan long-distance voyages in varying weather conditions. The Dual Mode Hull offers high stability at sea, and 15 per cent reduced fuel consumption compared to traditional planing hulls.
  4. Bavaria presented its Bavaria SR36, nominated for European Powerboat of the Year.
  5. Beneteau showcased its French premiere, the Swift Trawler 48, alongside nine other motorboats, including the Swift Trawler 41 and flagship Grand Trawler 62.
  6. Following the success of the Oasis 40M, Italian shipyard Benetti has introduced a smaller model to its Oasis fleet. The 34-metre superyacht features an exterior by British studio RWD and interiors by New York-based studio Bonetti & Kozerski Architecture. All yachts in the Oasis fleet have stunning afts.
  7. Newly launched semi-custom superyacht by Benetti, the Benetti B.Yond 37, was billed as the greenest model in its class. The conscious decision to keep her LOA under 40 meters means the boat can fit in Mediterranean marinas and bays.

Premiers from C to P

  1. The flagship of Custom Line, the Custom Line 140 offers generous onboard space thanks to its 400GT and 8.5-meter beam. The designers found inspiration in residential architecture.
  2. The Fairline Phantom 65 is Fairline’s first-ever sportsbridge yacht. The design team took the award-winning Targa 65's external lines and added a beautifully streamlined sports cruiser aesthetic.
  3. The Ferretti 860, developed by the Italian shipyard in collaboration with Filippo Salvetti and Ideaeitalia, hit the water in Italy eight months after the project announcement. She marks the third yacht developed in collaboration with Salvetti.
  4. The Pershing GTX116, with its category-confounding style and deck layout, suggests a crossover might be closer to the brand's aesthetics than anybody would think.
  5. Prestige presented its first motor cat after more than two years of development. The Prestige M48 is taller than most power cats and features multiple outdoor spaces.
  6. Princess updated the design of the V50 model. The new V50 Open is perfect for outdoor living. Cockpit and bathing platform arrangements are like in larger vessels.

The latest boats from R to V

  1. Riva 102 Corsaro Super from the famous Italian brand is contemporary, sporty, and with spaces created to feel seamless with the sea.
  2. Sanlorenzo SP110 is the first in the shipyard's SP series. SP stands for Smart Performance.
  3. Sunreef 70 Power is beamy and has an enormous shaded flybridge and an impressive saloon. There is an option for an open-plan galley.
  4. Sunseeker 100 Yacht marks a new era in Sunseeker's flybridge design. She features a walk-around top deck, very well connected to the foredeck lounge.
  5. Van der Valk’s Lady Lene has an eye-catching exterior design and could be considered the brightest Van der Valk ever built. Even before the Cannes Yachting Festival, Lady Lene got nominations for numerous boating awards.
