Canadian Electric Boats of Montreal is dedicated to the design and manufacture of lightweight pleasure boats with electric motors. For their maximum efficiency, the latest achievements in this field are used. The main market for the company is the American market.

The shipyard promotes ecological thinking: its boats are not only much quieter, but also environmentally friendly and require little maintenance.

Active work in this area was marked by a victory in 2018 in the category Future of the «Industry among the 250» Quebec Provincial Shipbuilding Companies.

In the last decade, the efficiency of electric engines has increased significantly and they have become worthy competitors to petrol engines. The boats use energy efficient engines from the German leader of the electric motor industry, Torqeedo, which produces 32 models of boat motors with power from 1 to 80 hp. All boats of the shipyard are covered by a lifetime warranty. The company is ready to deliver a boat to the buyer in any corner of the world.

In 2020, the Canadian Electric Boat Company changed its name to Vision Marine Technologies.

Production

Fiberglass is taken for hull construction, custom boats are made entirely by hand. The shipyard uses materials of the highest quality, which ensures high value of boats in the secondary market as well. The finishes are in precious woods for the classic style, or in composite materials, which will minimize the boat's worries. The choice of materials, colours and finishes is large enough. Modern batteries from leading manufacturers allow boats to walk up to 8 hours in a row. The cost of using electric boats is much lower with a classic motor, and the owner will save a lot of money on this.

Model range

The company's boats are stylish, somewhat conservative, 4.7 to 6.7 m long pleasure boats that work, however, with the latest principles of sustainability, autonomy, silence and safety. Capacious (up to 10 passengers), with the possibility of installing a folding roof, they are ideal for quiet rest and banquets on the water. But at the same time, these boats are able to surprise with their cockpit layout flexibility and speed performance - so, the shipyard's flagship, Bruce 22, is capable of speeds up to 41 knots and is the fastest North American electric submarine.
