Brand History
Olivier Van Meer has been fascinated by the sea since his early childhood. He sailed over 100,000 miles and became the youngest licensed captain in the Netherlands. He began painting his first boats as a young man. The Olivier Van Meer Design studio of design and naval architecture was opened by the master in 1985.
Philosophy
The philosophy of Olivier van Meer's team is to design yachts with superb lines and excellent performance combined with practical engineering solutions, drawing on a wealth of experience in navigation and life on board.
Specialty
The studio is engaged in refit of classical sailing yachts, motor boats, creates naval architecture, exteriors and interiors. If necessary, the team can perform all the design and engineering work, as well as accompany the order during construction.
Cooperation with shipyards
The company has established relationships with many European shipyards including VMG Yachtbuilders, Harwal Marine, Bloemsma & Van Breemen, Acico Yachts and others.
Landmark projects
In the sailing segment of large boats, the studio is known for its work on frigates, bars and schoons. In 2017, Wolfhound received the Classic Boat Design Award. For motor superyachts the company created the architecture of the 47-meter Lady Dee, 49-meter Nassima and others.
