Officina Italiana Design

Designer description Officina Italiana Design
The history of the brand
Officina Italiana Design was born thanks to a talented designer Mauro Micheli and an excellent manager Sergio Beretta. Mauro began his journey in yacht design, one might say by accident. After graduating from art school, he took part in a competition organized by the Riva shipyard and became a full-time designer. The master left for free sailing in 1994 and the shipbuilder continued to work with his studio.
Philosophy .
Clean lines, meticulous attention to detail, perfectly balanced volumes, materials and colours have long been the hallmark of Officina Italiana Design, which focuses on creating elegant, innovative, timeless boats.
Specialty
The company is famous for its work on serial boats. The portfolio includes designer and classic runabouts, flybridge yachts and so on. Also noteworthy are marine architecture, interior and exterior designs for superyachts.
Cooperation with shipyards
Officina Italiana Design designs all of Riva's boats to date, shaping the yard's unique elegant style. Other Italian shipbuilders, such as Sanlorenzo and Rossinavi, also call on the team.
Landmark projects
Almost every studio project is awarded at international exhibitions. One of the key models was built in 2015 Sanlorenzo SL 86. This is the first result of a new long-term collaboration with Sanlorenzo. The boat has received a wide hull, one of the largest flybridges in its class and a «residential» forward deck with sofas and sun loungers.
Team
Six other designers, engineers and architects work in a studio in Bergamo with Mauro and Sergio.
