"Sanlorenzo, an Italian shipyard with a 50-year history of building prestigious motor yachts strictly to the tastes and preferences of each individual customer, recently launched its first steel megayacht - Sanlorenzo 46 Steel.

With a length of 46 meters, as its name suggests, "46 Steel" will be the new flagship of the Sanlorenzo flotilla. She is a three-deck yacht with a steel displacement hull and aluminium superstructure.

The interior of the yacht, designed to allow as much light as possible into the yacht, blends perfectly with the design philosophy of the entire Sanlorenzo Navetta range. The "46 Steel" looks harmoniously next to her "younger sisters", the composite semi-displacement models SD92 and SD122. Continuity is also apparent in the design of the huge glass surfaces on the main deck walls, which flow into the upper deck and end with the characteristic "tail" at the rear of the superstructure.

The registered tonnage of 46 Steel is 499 tons, which allows the yacht not to fall under SOLAS requirements.

The extensive aft area of the boat houses the "Beach Club", a fitness area with gym and spa section with private bath. The "Beach Club" opens onto a giant bathing platform, an absolutely flat area without steps. From the main deck, the Beach Club can be accessed via two stairs - from outside the cockpit and from inside the salon.

The garage on "46 Steel" is located closer to the bow of the Beach Club. Access to the garage is through a large side door on starboard and the garage is large enough to accommodate a 20-foot tender.

An important element of "46 Steel", never before seen on a boat of this size, is another additional level below the lower deck. This is a central tunnel for the entire length of the yacht, which runs from bow to stern and accommodates technical areas (stabilizers, propellers and various systems) and utility rooms (laundry room with three washing machines and three dryers, ironing board and "cold zone" with refrigerators and cold rooms).

This tunnel is usually very narrow and narrow even on larger yachts. On the 46 Steel, it is tall enough to walk full height, making it easier to check and maintain systems. The sub-deck tunnel also has an additional access to the engine room, so that the main mechanics do not need to climb up to the upper deck where the guest cabins are located.

The "Sanlorenzo 46 Steel" is powered by two CAT 3512B 2040 hp engines. (1500 kW)/1600 rpm each. Maximum speed of the yacht is 17 knots, cruising speed is 15 knots. She has a cruising range of 4000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
