Last Monday evening Alex Thomson, one of the most reckless yachtsmen of our time, won the Volvo Speed Challenge charity race. The top prize – £1,000 – will go to the British foundation Sported.
He beat «Olympian», windsurfer Nick Dempsey, and Olympic gold medallist Paul Goodison on his Open 60 yacht«Moth».
