On December 10, the great Soviet and Russian yachtsman Viktor Potapov tragically died in Dolgoprudny. He died by a fatal accident – two cars collided, one of them flew out on a pedestrian crossing while the yachtsman was crossing the road. In memory of Victor Potapov we publish archive photo of 1972 Munich Olympics. That Olympics brought our yachtsman a bronze medal in his favourite Finn class. The photo, taken on an especially windy day of that regatta, shows a Soviet yachtsman on the right with SR mark on his sail. In the foreground is the gold medallist of the Munich Olympics, Frenchman Serge Maury.
