From 26 to 29 September, the Monaco Yacht Show in the famous port of Hercules will bring together owners, future buyers and shipyard representatives from 38 countries, as well as distributors and other participants in the yachting business. The show will feature more than 120 superyachts, of which about 40 are new models. We offer you an overview of the largest boats of the upcoming boat show.

DAR

  • Length: 90 m
  • Shipyard: Oceanco
  • Exterior/interior design: De Basto Designs / Nuvolari Lenard

The 90-metre DAR designed by the famous Luiz de Basto looked so futuristic that it seemed as if the boat would never be built. However, Oceanco's Dutch shipyard managed to bring it to life. The superstructure of the DAR is almost entirely enclosed in mirror glass, contrasting with white balconies. The interiors of the yacht, designed by Nuvolari Lenard's eco-style studio, can accommodate 12 guests. According to Superyachtfan.com the boat belongs to Russian billionaire Ziyad Manasir.

Solo

  • Length: 72 m
  • Shipyard: Tankoa
  • Exterior/interior design: Francesco Paszkowski Design, Margherita Casprini

Launched in early August, the 72-metre Tankoa Solo attracted a lot of attention, which is not surprising: its project was created almost 10 years ago. The superyacht has a massage room, hairdresser's, sauna, gym, large beach club, six-metre swimming pool, piano and fireplace. The owner's deck has direct access to the helipad. The boat is also optimized for chartering: its layout allows the crew to work freely without inconvenience to the owner and guests.

GO

  • Length: 77 m
  • Shipyard: Turquoise Yachts
  • Exterior/interior design: H2 Yacht Design

The flagship of the Turkish shipyard Turquoise, the 77-metre GO yacht, is astonishingly spacious: the boat is designed to comfortably accommodate 18 guests. The owner's deck has a private spa pool and the spacious master suite located forward offers stunning sea views. The yacht is equipped with a full size elevator, tender garage and five metre swimming pool with waterfall. With folding panels on both sides, the yacht boasts a huge beach club at sea level.

Sokar

  • Length: 63.7 m
  • Shipyard: Codecasa
  • Exterior/interior design: Vincenzo Ruggiero

Designed by Vincenzo Ruggiero, Sokar, built by the Italian shipyard Codecasa in 1990, is still considered one of the most outstanding projects of her era. The superyacht can accommodate 18 guests in nine cabins with en suite bathrooms including a master suite. The boat is currently for sale for €17.9 million.

Kismet

  • Length: 95.2 m
  • Shipyard: Lurssen
  • Exterior/interior design: Espen Øino / Reymond Langton Design

The recent walks of Beyonce... J.Z. (Jay-Z) on Kismet made this legendary yacht even more recognizable. But to rent it is not a cheap pleasure: one week of charter will cost £1.1 million. The superyacht has a multi-level pool, basketball court and a helicopter landing place. The interior design was by Reymond Langton. He has created a unique colour scheme for each guest cabin. In 2015, the boat won the prestigious World Superyacht Awards. The boat is now owned by Shahid Khan, an American billionaire of Pakistani descent and owner of Fulham football club.

Elandess

  • Length: 74.5 m
  • Shipyard: Abeking & Rasmussen
  • Exterior/interior design: Harrison Eidsgaard.

Returning to the German shipyard for their second yacht, the future owners of Elandess asked designer Peder Eidsgaard to design a modern spacious boat with large seating areas suitable for both quiet family fun and noisy parties. The result is a yacht with flexible interiors and floor to ceiling windows. And for common areas, innovative solutions have been used, ranging from the underwater lounge under the waterline to the huge eight-metre swimming pool sundeck.

Excellence V

  • Length: 61 m
  • Shipyard: Abeking & Rasmussen
  • Exterior/interior design: Reymond Langton

The yacht was built by the German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen in 2012 according to the strict Lloyd's Registry standards. The boat is regularly refitted and upgraded. The last refits took place in 2017 and included the repainting of the superstructure, maintenance of the main engine and restoration of the generators. There are seven luxurious rooms on board to accommodate fourteen guests. Excellence V is currently being sold for €75 million.

Anna I

  • Length: 67 m
  • Shipyard: Feadship
  • Exterior/interior design: Michael Leach Design

Michael Leach has worked on the design of the 67-metre motor yacht Anna I. The boat was built in steel and aluminium by Feadship's Dutch shipyard in 2007 according to Lloyd's Registry and MCA standards. Elm and mahogany were used in the interior design of the boat. She can accommodate 17 guests in six cabins, including a master suite that occupies the forward section of two decks at once.
