Every September, since 1991, Hercule port welcomes shipyard representatives, yacht brokers, boat owners and those who intend to become them. Last year the Monaco Yacht Show attracted 120 very interesting superyachts, 40 of which were presented to the public for the first time. The average length of all the boats on display was 49 metres, but seven heavyweights passed the 70 metres mark. In addition, more than 40 tenders and water toys, 10 luxury cars and two helicopters were presented. A total of 580 companies took part in the exhibition.

We offer you a selection of the largest yachts presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2018.

Oceanco Dar

The largest «exhibit» and one of the most impressive debut of last year's exhibition was 90-meter Oceanco Dar. And it impressed all the boats not only with its scale, but also with its bold, rapid profile, which is more like a sports yacht of much smaller size. The stylish interiors were created by the renowned Nuvolari-Lenard bureau. The designers have made a name for themselves by designing six spacious cabins for up to 12 guests, including the most luxurious master suites. The crew quarters have 31 berths.

On board Dar is everything that any self-respecting superyacht should have: a generously sized beach club, elevator, spa, pool, sauna and helipad. The renowned Dutch shipyard has equipped the yacht with the latest technology, including advanced zero speed stabilizers. In a word, the boat was so successful that the MYS jury declared it the best superyacht of 2018 and also awarded the prize for the best exterior design.

Pride Mega Yachts Illusion Plus

The second largest boat on display was the 88.5-metre Illusion Plus from Chinese shipyard Pride Mega Yachts. But it is difficult to name this Chinese yacht Chinese, four other companies from different countries worked on its creation, one of them is more famous. Illusion Plus has been designed by Rainsford Mann Design in London, naval architecture by Azure Yacht Design in the Netherlands, interior design by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design in the Netherlands and interior decoration by Greenline Yacht Interiors in Dubai. The work of the last two was especially appreciated at last year's Monaco show: the boat won in the category Best «Interior.

Six decks, 88.5 meters long and 15.2 meters wide, create a giant space. Not surprisingly, the owner has set aside a whole deck with an 80 square metre apartment. In addition, there are five more guest cabins on board, two of which are proudly VIP. All this luxury is designed for 12 people. To accommodate 25 crew members on the lower deck there are fifteen cabins plus two more for the owner's personal staff. Illusion Plus has four saloons, two dining rooms, two Jacuzzis (one of which is a huge whirlpool bath with a waterfall), an elevator running between the four decks and a two-storey atrium. There are three limo tenders, a spa with steam room, massage room and sauna, as well as a gym and beauty salon on the main deck.

Turquoise Yachts Go

Launched last year, the 77-metre Go was the flagship of the Turquoise shipyard in Turkey. The London H2 Yacht Design has a long hull, bulbous bow and specially designed rudders to ensure minimal drag and therefore a decent fuel economy.

One must admit that the turquoise body effectively distinguishes Go among the monochrome neighbors on the pier. The boat is no less spectacular inside: in the spacious hall, the guests are met by a central elevator connecting all 5 decks, in the garage on the midships there is a 10-meter limotender and an 8-meter service boat. This arrangement of the garage allows for 162 square meters for the beach club, not counting the two descending panels on both sides. The boat impresses with its capacity: it is designed to comfortably accommodate 18 passengers in two VIP suites, six guest cabins and a full-beam master suite. The owner has a private deck with a private lounge area and Jacuzzi. There are also 20 crew quarters on board.

Tankoa Yachts Solo

A child of the young Italian yard Tankoa Yachts, the 72-metre Solo has taken away from the exhibition the award from RINA as the most environmentally friendly yacht. And this despite the fact that the project was designed 10 years ago. See for yourself: HUG particulate filters, Eco Spray's selective catalytic reduction system and with its impressive size at ten knots the boat only consumes 195 litres per hour. The boat was designed by the world-famous Francesco Paczkowski, and Margherita Casprini has created for Solo some of the most unusual interiors one can find on a boat. There are also giant chess pieces and sculptures» of people stuck«in the walls. Remarkable features include a winter garden, a 6m swimming pool across the stern and glass bulwarks for even more spectacular sea views.

The master deck has a helicopter deck, folding balconies, two Jacuzzis, dressing room, bar and private lounge. If necessary, the owner's study and massage room can be converted into two additional cabins with private bathrooms. The pride of the Solo is the beach club. It includes an all-glass gym with a folding balcony, a relaxation area with bar and TV and a spa area with sauna and hammam. Next door, a side loading garage holds two 7.5 metre tenders, a jet ski and a rescue boat. With her pair of 3516 engines, the Caterpillar is capable of crossing the Atlantic, even at a top speed of 17 knots.

Amels Volpini 2

The 57.7 metre Volpini 2 from Amels is the world's first yacht to meet the strict Tier III environmental standards. For this purpose, the Dutch shipyard has developed not just its own hybrid propulsion system, but an entire system of maximum energy efficiency on board. For example, the heat from the engines is used to heat the water in the Jacuzzi or the air in the cabins.

The graceful profile, reminiscent of the spreading white swan wings, was designed by Tim Heywood and the interiors are in the marine style by the British studio Reymond Langton. The boat can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests with six cabins, including a master suite with a folding balcony. A central staircase and elevator pass through all four decks, including the sandek. The beach club at water level has a full wellness centre.

Mangusta El Leon

Overmarine's flagship Mangusta El Leon 54m is the first of GranSport's range of high speed displacement yachts. Featuring a bulbous bow and four 16V MTU 2000 M96L diesel engines, she is capable of speeds up to stunning 30 knots in her class, while cruising at 3500 nautical miles without refueling.

Alberto Mancini developed for the aluminium El Leon a muscular, aggressive yet elegant body and stylish interiors. All five guest cabins have large windows, the salon is 2.6 metres high from floor to ceiling and even the floor of the folding balcony in the master suite is glass. The 100 square metre flybridge offers space for a pool, large sun loungers and a dining area in the shade, again with a glass hardtop.

Heesen Irisha

Designer Harrison Eidsgaard dreamed of designing a boat that looked like a fighter jet and was sure to have an unusual color scheme, so the project for the 51 metre semi-deck Heesen Irisha was born. The embodiment of the idea became real thanks to the curved glass used to create the superstructure. As a result, the boat received a rapid daring profile with an original colouring that changes from blue to green depending on how the light falls.

The highlight of Irisha interiors is the combination of textures: soft carpets, fabrics with a pronounced structure, textured walls with Venetian plaster finishing from British sorcerers DKT Atworks. Several interior lighting options allow you to change the atmosphere at the touch of a button. On board, even in the most secluded corner of the ship, unusual interior elements can be found: A metal mirror hangs in the day room, the stair railing in clear curved glass gives the impression that their handrails are floating in the air and the master stateroom has a lacquered Wenge bathroom.

There are several spacious areas on Irisha where large groups can gather, such as the main deck dining room with a 9m dining table for a dinner party for twenty-two people.

Benetti Seven

The 49.8 metre Seven is the largest GRP boat with an aluminium superstructure built by Italian Benetti. The yacht was designed by the shipyard's own design office and the interiors were created by London studio Bannenberg & Rowell Design. For the Owner, the designers have created a huge full-width main deck suite with a balcony with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, and four other spacious guest rooms on the lower deck for a total of 310 square metres. And if this isn't enough, the living room on the third deck can easily be converted into another cabin.A pair of Caterpillar C32 Acert engines give Seven up to 15.5 knots and at 11 knots, 4,000 nautical miles can be driven at one refill. The boat also boasts very low noise and vibration levels, which will be especially appreciated by guests on the lower deck.

Wider 165 Cecilia

The first hull of the Wider 165 range, called the Cecilia, is equipped with an advanced diesel-electric propulsion system, thanks to which the yacht meets the strict RINA environmental standards. With a length of 50 meters, the boat spends 265 litres per hour at 13 knots, while at 11.7 cruising knots it spends only 189 litres. With a single power supply, the yacht can go for several hours at 5 knots or stay at anchor all night, providing guests with everything they need for a comfortable stay on board. This fuel consumption allows the vessel to sail up to 5,400 nautical miles without refueling.

Fulvio De Simoni has designed the exterior for the boat and has given it a full width folding balcony in the master suite, gym and sauna. The Cecilia has a helipad, a three-way beach club, a garage with the three-seater submarine Worx SYS3 and a flooded garage under Wider 32. Ideae Italia Studios have been privileged to decorate the interiors for six guest cabins and numerous relaxation areas, including the main salon with floor to ceiling windows.

Ada Yacht Works All About U

Launched last summer, the 50m All About U motorcycle saloon was named the flagship of Turkey's Ada Yacht Works. The boat accommodates up to 12 guests with full-beam master suite (at midships it exceeds 10 meters), VIP and four double cabins.

The open-plan interior offers a 360-degree view from the large glazing. The 65 square metre flybridge offers plenty of space for a bustling outdoor party, while the folding transom creates a large 26 square metre beach club.

CRN Latona

CRN's 50 metre Latona (formerly Project Superconero) was one of the world premieres of last year's exhibition in Monaco. The project, created by the Zuccon design studio and the shipyard's engineers, was named after the 23-metre SuperConero series produced by CRN in the 60s and 70s. By today's standards they are quite small boats, but they have become a landmark for the company as they were built in steel. These yachts also received an iconic hull shape with a long stern and a sharp bow. Latona inherited the characteristic shape of SuperConero, but of course has a number of differences, such as a large lounge area on the fordeck, a terrace that flows smoothly into the salon and a large beach club in front of a flooded tender garage. Aft on the main deck there is also a swimming pool and a large outdoor living area.

The yacht has received Liberty «interiors (»Italian version of Art Nouveau). As an accent all guest rooms have dark brown patterns, which can be found on carpets, marble panels and even on stair railing. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the salon and master suite offer stunning views. Latona can accommodate up to 10 people in five cabins, while the crew can accommodate up to nine berths.

Damen Yachts Power Play

The 55-meter Power Play support vessel from Damen is not only designed to carry tenders, water toys and provisions for the «mother boat. It is a kind of hybrid between a main superyacht and a standard accessory ship: the workhorse was given a stylishly designed salon on the main deck, three large cabins and a terrace for guests.

The sixth yacht in the Damen YS-5009 series is capable of entering the environmental protection areas with zero emissions engines off. What sets Power Play apart from her older sisters is that her 50 square metre stern can easily become a diving centre or beach club. The boat is equipped with a 13 tonne deck crane for launching large equipment such as a submarine.

Rossinavi Flying Dagger

The slipway of the Italian Rossinavi is home to some of the most interesting superyachts and the 49-meter Flying Dagger is no exception. Enrico Gobbi's team was involved in the design of both the exterior and interior of the boat. Combined with an elongated hull and extensive glazing, the designers developed a rapidly shaped superstructure with bevelled windscreen and a wide foredeck.

The name «Flying Blade» clearly describes more than just the exterior of the boat: equipped with three 2600hp MTU engines and Kamewa water jets, the yacht demonstrates a stunning 27 knots top speed for her class. At 12 knots in economy mode, she can travel up to 3,300 nautical miles.

Baglietto 48M T-Line

The Baglietto 48M T-Line was one of the first superyachts built under the famous brand after the change of owner. The creation of the 48M T-Line with its new design opened the next chapter in the history of the Italian yacht builder, who launched his first yacht in 1854. For almost 10 years Francesco Paszkowski shaped the style of Baglietto and was commissioned to create the exterior of the 48 T-Line. For the interiors, the yard's design team chose Italian walnuts combined with gold and bronze accents. The floor is decorated with light carpets and the furniture is decorated with cream-coloured leather. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the interior with natural light.

48M T-Line boasts an impressive beach club of over 45 square meters. It houses a steam room, a bar and there is also space that can be used as a gym or spa. On board there are several spacious areas for outdoor relaxation, with only one sundeck offering 130 square meters of outdoor spaces.

Mangusta Oceano 46 Q95

The 45.5m Mangusta Q95 is the first hull in the Oceano 46 series of ocean cruisers. The displacement steel boat was designed by the star Italian tandem Stefano Righini and Alberto Manchini. The former gave the yacht a rapidly recognisable look and left a lot of open space on decks for guests to get the most out of their long trips. A pool with a cozy relax area on the Fordeca with stunning views, a stern terrace on the main deck and a dining room on the sun deck for al fresco dining have been created. Alberto Mancini «launched» tigers and leopards in light wood on the walls and used dark frames everywhere to give the interiors austerity and elegance. The full width master suite has a balcony with folding panel, dressing room and bathroom with shower and bath. There are four further double cabins on the lower deck.

Custom Line Navetta 42

The semi-displacement Custom Line Navetta 42 is the first vessel in the brand's history to cross the 300 BRT threshold. With top engines, the 42-meter boat reaches 22 knots and a transatlantic range of 3000 nautical miles at comfortable cruising speeds. The four-deck yacht has a Jacuzzi, sun loungers, a hardtop control station and an outdoor area that can be used for sunbathing or yoga classes. The third deck is also rich in outdoor spaces, with an eight-person dining table aft and a huge lounge area on the forward deck with sofa, table and solarium for four.

Aft there is a tender garage with an advanced lifting system and starboard loading, so the transom is fully dedicated to a spacious beach club. The main deck has a long saloon with lounge and dining area as well as a full-beam master suite with office and relaxation area. On the lower deck there are four equally sized VIP cabins with large windows.

Conrad C133 Viatoris

One of the brightest design studios - British Reymond Langton has developed for 40-meter Conrad C133 Viatoris a modern but elegant profile in blue and white. The boat was the flagship of the shipyard and also the largest motor yacht ever built in Poland.

The owner did not buy the Viatoris just to spend a holiday or weekend on it, for him a yacht is more of a house on the water. This explains the full-beam master suite, the many areas for relaxation and socializing as well as the non-standard interior. The boat differs from her«classmates in that it has» four hinged balconies on the main deck (two in the master suite and two in the salon), which create a feeling of open space.

Princess Bandazul

At the customer's request, the Bandazul semi-castompartment received a number of differences from the original Princess 30M design, including an elongated flybridge with a hardtop and a modified cockpit. In addition to the standard five cabins, the owner preferred a four-cabin layout, so the VIP on the lower deck took up the entire 6.9 meter width of the boat. The master suite bathroom is equipped with two white marble sinks and an all-glass shower. For the interiors, the owner chose a combination of light stone with polished wenge wood and soft-toned fabrics. But there are several outdoor seating areas: in addition to the impressive size of the flybridge, there is also a lounge area with a table at the fordeck and a terrace aft.

CBI Navi Stella di Mare

Self-containment is essential for a research yacht, which is why the 40 metre Stella di Mare from CBI Navi has a wine cellar for 800 bottles, five cubic metres of refrigerated space and freezers of almost the same volume. Thanks to two Caterpillar C32 diesel engines with an output of 1000 horsepower, the Stella di Mare has a solid range of 6,900 nautical miles at 10.5 knots.

Designed by the renowned Sergio Cutolo, she boasts an 85 square metre flybridge, a spacious fordeck and a 74 square metre cockpit on the main deck. Aft of the upper deck, there is a dining room for 12 people and a tender storage area. The boat can accommodate fourteen guests and seven crew members.

Sunseeker 131 Zozo

The 40-metre Zozo was the first body in the Sunseeker 131 series. Designed on the basis of the well-proven Sunseeker 40m, it offers a wide range of customization options, including a choice of furniture, textiles and layouts. The yacht has an extended and extended skydeck, which easily accommodates a large bar area, sun loungers and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The main deck features an open-plan saloon, an alfresco dining area and a forward master suite that combines a large bedroom, work desk, dressing room and a spacious bathroom with a bath. The lower deck has four more guest cabins. The Sunseeker 131 Zozo can reach speeds of up to 25 knots and can also travel up to 2000 nautical miles offline at a comfortable 10 knots.
