Like all good things, the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show has come to an end. This year, the 30th iteration of the iconic superyacht event saw 37 world premieres grace the waters of Port Hercule. We at itBoat have selected the most notable ones for you.

Viva, Feadship, 94 m

The biggest boat launched by Feadship in 2021, this steel-hulled explorer carries on the trend towards sustainability and low environmental impact. Powered by twin MTU diesel-electric engines rated at 3916 hp each, the yacht goes at a comfortable 12 knots in hybrid mode, yet she can go as fast as 20 in diesel mode. Her elegant, no-frills exterior design is the work of Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture.

Artefact, Nobiskrug, 80 m

Built in 2020, Artefact lives quite up to her name. Gregory C. Marshall created a new landmark in yacht design by giving Artefact her unique silhouette with edgy superstructure lines and intricate window shapes. Shortly before MYS 2021, the latest launch from Nobiskrug won the World Superyacht Award as Motor Yacht of the Year.

She is also one of the world’s first superyachts to meet the IMO Tier III requirements. Her complex power system of gensets and battery packs allows the big vessel to cover short distances and maneuver in marinas on electricity alone, without any noise or emissions.

Tatiana, Bilgin, 80 m

Rumors about Bilgin Yachts working on the biggest superyacht ever to come from a Turkish builder first started circulating in 2016.  Now, the record has been broken as the 80-meter Tatiana made her world debut in Monaco’s Port Hercule. For her owner, this is his third boat named Tatiana (the first was launched in 2006, and the second in 2011). The latest of the Tatianas is a joint work of Turkish bureau Unique Yacht Design and H2 Yacht Design. The design has already proved so successful that the shipyard is now building two more hulls.

Polaris, Rossinavi, 70 m

At first glance, Polaris looks like a typical superyacht, but there is a trick. The raked-back superstructure windows are not just a designer’s folly – what we are looking at is a real explorer yacht. Polaris is he second explorer-type vessel built by Rossinavi and the biggest hull launched so far by the Italian Shipyard. With a range of up to 6000 miles, she is built for cruising in the most extreme conditions, including the icy waters of the Arctic. Even there, though, her guests are going to feel cozy and pampered, with a 6-meter swimming pool, cinema, spa center, and even a small waterfall onboard.

Blue II, Turquoise Yachts, 56 meters

A real eye-catcher, Blue II by Turquoise Yachts was very hard to overlook – even against the glitzy backdrop of the Monaco Yacht Show. Styled like the early-XX-century steamships, her lines hark back to the carefree times of the gentleman’s yachting era.

Despite her timeless looks, the yacht is brimming with cutting-edge technology, sporting a tough Ice Class 1B displacement steek hull and a hybrid propulsion system. Her amenities include two master suites, four guest cabins, and a SPA center with a sauna, steam bath, and a gym.
