The first regatta of the RC44 Champions Tour – Calero Marinas Cup 2018 has started in the Canaries. Russia is represented in the class by only one team – Team Nika of Vladimir Prosikhin. Moreover, on board Nika its owner and skipper is the only Russian. “Nika” started the season in its strongest line-up with Dean Barker as tactician and was leading by the results of the first two races, but during the third race it suddenly broke while setting a brand new gennaker – a factory defect. As a result, Team Nika finished third in the first day.
