Departure from Lemwerder

Deep Blue has left Lürssen's facility in Lemwerder, Germany, bound for Poole, United Kingdom, where she will be handed over to her owner. Construction began in 2021, making her departure a long-awaited moment — one of the most anticipated deliveries in the superyacht world this year.

Her hull was launched on a floating dock in July 2023, with her bow joined to the rest of the vessel shortly after. The exterior was first revealed publicly at launch in June 2025.

The Design

At 134.22 metres, Deep Blue is one of the largest yachts Lürssen has ever delivered. Naval architecture comes from the shipyard itself, and the result is unmistakably their work — sheer lines that draw the eye from bow to stern, deep overhangs, and a bold tiered aft profile.

Large sweeping glazed surfaces adorn both hull and superstructure, flooding the interior with natural light. Her silhouette bears comparison to Lürssen's 122-metre Ahpo, now Lady Jorgia, particularly in the tapered deck configuration — though Deep Blue pushes the concept further.

The hull is steel, the superstructure aluminium. Five decks of interior volume across an estimated 9,000 GT. Guests arrive via two mirrored staircases rising from the swim platform — a considered entry sequence for a yacht of this scale.

On Board

Deep Blue carries dual pools, one with a cascading waterfall feature, a helicopter-capable bow, and a beach club at water level. The configuration across four to five decks suggests generous owner accommodation and substantial guest quarters, though the full interior programme has not been disclosed.

Power

Eight MTU engines provide propulsion — the kind of engineering muscle required to move 134 metres efficiently across ocean passages.

Scale of the Project

Deep Blue is among twelve superyachts currently on order or under construction at Lürssen. She is also one of the first builds to utilise the shipyard's newly developed slipway system, engineered to handle substantially heavier vessels. Her delivery marks a significant moment for the yard — and for the industry watching.
