Feadship has delivered Milky Way, an 89.6-metre motor yacht built in Amsterdam under the codename Project 828. BOAT International reported the handover on 5 August 2026 and placed the yacht in Poole, on the south coast of England. Her main deck carries a swimming pool 16.7 metres long and three metres wide.
A giant pool on the main deck
Feadship calls the pool a "true centrepiece" and one of the largest built into one of its hulls. Nearly seventeen metres long, three metres across, sitting on the main deck of a yacht of 2,623 gross tons. That is a structural problem long before it is a luxury. The brief for the yacht, as the yard put it in comments published by BOAT International, was for a "highly flexible, multi-use onboard environment that supports active living and relaxation."
"This project reflects an intimately close collaboration between the private client and the unified project team," said Maarten Jansen, Feadship's sales director.
Vertical bow, long deck lines
Studio De Voogt drew the exterior, with Matt Bacon as lead designer. "We refined the language with a very strong vertical bow and an emphasis on the long structural lines of the decks," Bacon said in comments published by BOAT International. "The mast has a very strong character to balance the volumes of the superstructure." Naval architecture came from Feadship's own De Voogt Naval Architects.
RWD did the interior. "From the earliest concept sketches to the very last detail, bringing this project together has been a genuine pleasure," said the studio's senior associate designer, David Waite-Wright. Beyond that credit, the reporting carries no description of what is inside.
The numbers
From outfitting to handover
Milky Way came out of the outfitting facility in June 2026. Aerial photographs from her sea trials, taken at the end of June, show her under way, crew on deck and a flag at the stern. Five weeks after that, BOAT International reported the handover, with the yacht already in Poole.
