The history of the company

The Italian shipyard Cerri Cantieri Navali (CCN) was founded in 1997 by Carlo Cerri, an entrepreneur in love with the sea. The first boat of the shipyard was the sports cruiser Cerri 28, which was a great success. The following models, the Cerri 52 with its cruising speed of 34 knots, as well as the Cerri 40, confirmed the company's desire to produce luxury speed cruisers.

There is even an expression of Cherry»'s «style, which implies an aggressive streamline appearance of CCN boats.

The shipyard's further development was determined by its desire to build larger vessels. This was followed by the launch of the flybridge Cerri 86' Flying Sport, which reached a speed of 40 knots. The increase in the size of the yachts produced stimulated the expansion of the production capacity and in 2007 the company acquired a new large shipyard to complement the existing one. This made it possible to build the first hull of the Cerri 102' FlyingSport - a 31 metre boat with a whole range of excellent performances.

In September 2011 the majority (70%) of CCN's shares were acquired by the Gavio Group, a large Italian industrial corporation that owns such yachting brands as Baglietto and Bertram. In 2015, a rebranding was carried out to strengthen the shipyard's position. The most successful models were restyled and the range expanded.

The shipyard focused on the development of a new range of fully customised Fuoriserie high-end yachts. The first of these was Elsea, a 50 metre superyacht to win the World Superyacht Trophies «Opening of the Year» award.

The current company, in recent years, has seen a new wave of success in its models.

Production

The company's headquarters are located in Milan and boats are being built in the town of Avenza in Tuscany.

The shipyard builds yachts in the range of 26-50 meters, the material is steel, aluminum, light alloys or composites. Features

The production of successful custom-designed cruisers with a serious design component attracts special customers to the shipyard. So, famous fashion designer Roberto Cavalli ordered CCN to build 28-meter Freedom. This stylish aluminium yacht is the third in the Fuoriserie family, she has high privacy and Cavalli himself has put his hand to the exterior and interior design. The boat won the main prize in the World Superyacht Trophy as the Most «Advanced Yacht of the Year .
