Brig Model Range
The shipyard Brig builds rib boats and boats with outboard engines. In the company's model range - 21 models of length from 3 to 10 m (Eagle, Falcon Rider, Falcon Tender, Navigator series).
History of the company
Brig was born in 1993 in Ukrainian Kharkov, one of the centers of the Soviet aviation industry. At this difficult time for the country the founder of the company, Vyacheslav Rodionov, managed to attract military aviation engineers, who were out of business, to design and manufacture inflatable boats and RIBs.
Boats 800 km from the sea began to be engaged by chance to survive.
The first batch of boats, made of Soviet materials, was sent back by Swedish clients. From that moment on, the company rethought its development strategy and started to use only high quality materials, imported and in-house developed.
In 1999, the shipyard produced its first fiberglass RIB and soon began its ascent to the top of the market. In addition to reliability and seaworthiness, the models also acquired an external appeal.
"It was not so much an evolution as a revolution of the RIB concept", says Neil Webster, representative of the exclusive distributor of the brand in Australia, where Brig products occupy 70% of the market.
Nowadays Brig along with French Zodiac are the main players on the world market in RIB segment. The company has a wide distribution network around the world, although in Ukraine itself is not so known.
More than 200 specialists are involved in Brig plant with the area of 6000 sq. m., located in Dergachi, Kharkov region. Annually about 2000 boats worth from 5 to 100 thousand dollars are produced here.
The shipyard offers a wide range of RIB boats from 3 to 10 m for professional use and water recreation, including tenders.
Who would have thought that designing RIBs could be so knowledge-intensive?
"We're all physicists, mathematicians, engineers here. Of course, the design and construction of boats was logical", jokes Vyacheslav Rodionov, the head of the company.
At the same time, the application of defense industry achievements in aerodynamics and hydrodynamics has significantly improved the navigability and performance of Brig boats.
