Looking for a family cruiser that will sail well and ‘play’ well? Look no further than Brer Fox, a 3-Cabin, 2-head version of the very popular Beneteau 473, it is in the water in Urbanna, Virginia. She has largely sailed the Chesapeake Bay, so has seen relatively light use. The last of the ‘old school’ Beneteaus with cherry interior and a traditional interior feel to it, the 473 is renowned for its sailing ability and sea-kindliness and superb ‘liveability’. The interior is spacious and light; the cockpit is extremely comfortable and easy to move around; twin wheels and walk-through transom to swim platform create easy access to the water, for the family to play when at anchor.
Brer Fox has the following equipment and upgrades:
- Yanmar 75HP Engine
- Phasor 5KW Generator
- New Evolution Genoa (2023)
- Inmast furling mainsail
- Hatch Glass and seals replaced on all hatches (2023)
