Description

The aluminium sailing yacht Bestevaer 65s was built by K&M Yachtbuilders of the Netherlands in 2003 / 2004 (full refit 2019), designer- Gerard Dijkstra Yacht design. She has a modern underwater section, bulbous keel and carbon fiber mast. Bestevaer 65s is based on Zwerver, the legendary 1956 Sparkman & Stephens design that won the Fastnet race in 1961! The yacht is currently in refit to start a new life. Condition is as good as new! The extensive refit programme includes: top quality teak deck, hull, mast and boom painting, re-fitting with solid Rod Rigging, spray-painting of many decks and many more.

Top speed: approx. 9 knots @ 2800 rpm, Cruising speed: approx. 8 knots @2300 rpm, Consumption: approx. 10 l/hr @ 2300 rpm, Cruising range: approx. 900 m.miles at 7.5 knots cruising speed, approx. 600 miles at max. Speed 9 knots.
