The shipyard showed the first images of Sanlorenzo SD96 at the Cannes exhibition. in 2019. However, only a week later, contracts were signed for the construction of two yachts. The model replaces the legendary SD92, which has been in production since 2007 and has built 27 hulls.
Interior and Exterior Design
The exterior design of this semi-displacement yacht was undertaken by the Zuccon studio, while the interior design was undertaken by the architect Patricia Urquiola. For the latter, the Sanlorenzo SD96 was her debut work in the yachting industry. The team has carefully preserved the family shape of the boat. The three-deck 28-meter yacht does not look bulky, but rather more elegant.

The boat offers extensive outdoor and indoor seating areas. There are places where the whole company can gather and have fun, and there are also many more private places, such as on the fordek. The yacht can accommodate up to 10 people with 5 double cabins for overnight stay.

The team has tried to make the spaces flexible. For example, the upper deck terrace is combined with a closed saloon due to the wide sliding doors, while the seemingly small bathing platform is transformed into a huge beach club by opening up the aft side.
