The 440th model in the Najad range has two modifications - SS and AC, differing in the layout of the upper deck. The more traditional yard's CC (center cockpit) version has a North European layout with a centrally located, deep and well protected cockpit. This layout is well suited for long-range swim fanatics who value safety above all - the helm in the centre cockpit is almost completely protected against wave overload or accidental overboard fallout.
The Najad 440 is characterized by its unique fin fin proportions, narrower and deeper than usual for yachts of this size. The delta bulb has a centre of gravity lower than that of a conventional torpedo bulb, which gives the yacht high stability, excellent wind speed and excellent manoeuvrability.
