The Azimut 78 is an all-new flybridge yacht designed by Alberto Mancini with interiors by Achille Salvagni. It is the first Azimut flybridge model to use triple IPS engines, offering a choice between 900 or 1000 horsepower units. This yacht stands out for its innovative layout and luxurious design.
Foredeck and Flybridge
The foredeck of the Azimut 78 is a well-designed space with multiple seating options, making it perfect for socializing and relaxation. The table has a folding leaf, and the sun pads have adjustable backrests for added comfort. There is also a shade option for protection on sunny days.
The flybridge is spacious and features a third joystick station for easy maneuvering, providing joystick control, engine readouts, and bow thruster control. The flybridge is designed to feel much larger than it is, with low-slung seating areas that are perfect for socializing. The flybridge also includes a large dinette, a wet bar with grill, fridge, and icemaker, and a forward sun pad that offers a comfortable space for relaxation. The helm station is equipped with a clean glass bridge and Garmin screens for easy navigation.
Main Saloon
The main saloon features soft curves and statement pieces, creating a luxurious and practical living space. The furniture and cabinetry are elegantly curved, providing a safe and stylish environment. The saloon includes a relaxed dining area with a table that raises and lowers, a pop-up television, and lots of well-thought-out lighting.
Galley and Crew Space
The galley is located next to the helm and has a great connection to the crew space, which is forward and down. The crew area includes three berths, a seating area, and a crew bathroom. The galley is equipped with a large domestic fridge-freezer, Miele appliances, and plenty of storage space. There is also a sliding door to close off the galley and crew area for privacy.
Guest Cabins
The master cabin features more of Salvagni's playful design touches, with smooth curves and elegant finishes. It includes a separate walk-in wardrobe and a spacious ensuite bathroom. The forward VIP cabin offers a good amount of space and a single window due to the crew space behind the partition. Each guest cabin has its own bathroom, with the twin cabin's bathroom also serving as the day head.
Cockpit
The cockpit of the Azimut 78 is spacious and provides plenty of shelter with the large overhang from the flybridge. It includes a dining table, freestanding chairs, and a minibar section. There is easy access to the decks on both sides, with the starboard side housing the cassette passerelle. The absence of a crew cabin aft allows for a large storage space, perfect for water toys and equipment. The hydraulic transom, when deployed, creates a beach club area for relaxation and enjoyment.
In summary, the Azimut 78 offers a luxurious and practical design with innovative features, making it a standout choice for those seeking a high-end flybridge yacht.
