Wiszniewski W43: Model Info

Wiszniewski W43: Model Info

The Wiszniewski W43 made its debut at the Dusseldorf Boat Show, capturing attention as the inaugural model from a new brand. Despite being a fresh name in the industry, it comes from the esteemed Schlep Shipyard, established in Poland's Lake District in 1989. Known for subcontracting with top brands like Axopar, Yamarin, and Quicksilver, the shipyard brings decades of expertise to this showcase of their craftsmanship. Every element, from the steelwork to the timber and glass, is crafted in-house, promising high quality and attention to detail.

On Deck

The Wiszniewski W43 impresses with its innovative design, especially at the rear, where a triple rig of outboards is flanked by a full-beam swim platform. This platform enhances usability, extending the boat's length to over 45 feet, and offers versatility by lowering into the water, raising to deck level, or elevating for easy access in Mediterranean marinas. The detailing throughout is meticulous, with features like a sturdy gate, downlighting, and a transom shower indicating a high build quality. The back end of the cockpit, with its fiberglass construction, reinforces the boat's robust and luxurious feel.

Performance and Layout

Designed as a performance boat, the W43 offers various engine options, including triple 300s capable of 43-44 knots and twin 400s reaching 41-42 knots. The prototype is even being tested for a potential triple rig of 400s, aiming for a top speed of 50 knots. The cockpit layout is well-conceived, featuring drop-down terraces to expand deck space and a galley with high-quality amenities like an electric griddle and a large fridge. The helm station is equipped with three individual seats, offering comfort and visibility, although seat height adjustments are planned for better ergonomics.

Foredeck and Interior

Moving to the foredeck, the W43 showcases a luxurious lounging area with a built-in sunbed, headrests, and elegant cup holders. The elevated design ensures security and comfort. Below deck, the accommodation is equally refined, designed as a decadent retreat for couples. The master cabin in the bow converts from a seating area to a double bed with ease, featuring high-quality materials and thoughtful details like a hidden television and ample storage. The heads compartment is compact yet functional, with a separate shower area and quality fittings.

Conclusion

The Wiszniewski W43 stands out not only for its performance and craftsmanship but also for its thoughtful design and luxurious touches. Despite its prototype status, the W43 already exemplifies the bespoke quality and sophisticated styling expected from a brand with such a robust industrial heritage. With plans to produce no more than 30 units per year, each boat promises to be a unique, custom-built masterpiece, reflecting the expertise and attention to detail of the Schlep Shipyard.
