The Pilot Saloon 47 is the smallest boat in the Wauquiez range of long-distance cruisers, united by a common architectural element, after which the series was named. The characteristic appearance of this series of yachts, with the rigid shutters that cover, as protection, the large cut-out windows, sets it apart from other expensive boats of similar architecture.
In designing the Pilot Saloon 47, the focus was not so much on speed, but on maximum reliability and durability, as well as simplicity and ease of handling. As usual for Wauquiez, various hidden details and useful "little things" have been worked out very carefully.
