The Spirit 76 has been designed for long range cruising, with the aim of increasing the completeness of the hull compared to other yachts in order to accommodate the necessary equipment, keep space for guests and provide ample space for personal belongings and supplies. However, the increased fullness of the hull has worsened the boat's performance: it manoeuvres well against the wind at speeds above 10 knots and can go downwind at speeds up to 17 knots.
The owner's stateroom occupies the entire aft section of the yacht, providing the owner with the comfort and privacy he needs.
