Exterior and Interior Design
In 2017, the Montauk family of boats celebrated their 60th anniversary with the launch of their jubilee versions. The Boston Whaler 170 Montauk is one of them. Externally similar to its predecessors and the classic central location of the control console, the boat received an optimal layout and modern equipment.
Amenities on board
A small windscreen suggests that the owner will drive the boat sitting down, not standing up. The skipper's chair has a folding backrest that can be removed to turn the seat backwards if necessary. There is a fish garden underneath, which has an overboard drain. For protection from the scorching sunlight there is a folding awning, optionally with a canopy. In addition, the boat can also be equipped with a swivel fishing chair with an additional cage at the bow and folding seats at the stern. Navigation and fishing electronics and a teak deck decking package are available. The deck is made of non-slip plastic as standard.
Features
The Montauk family boats are usually used for fishing, but there is a surprise in this model for boat lovers: an optional towing arch for the skier. Despite its small size, the boat can accommodate up to seven people who can not only fish and do water sports, but also dive from a small swimming platform.
Swimming area
Seaworthiness class C: The boat offers access to coastal sea areas, as well as to rivers and lakes.
